STANDARD PROVISION OF NATURAL GAS ENERGY CHARACTERISTICS MEASUREMENT

Energy efficiency and energy saving issues in the state make a great influence on economic growth and investment attractiveness. There is a particularly high energy saving potential in the municipal and industrial sectors that consume the
major portion of natural gas.their business activities. Low heating value or calorific value of gas is the amount of heat that is released during complete gas combustion at constant pressure and temperature, referred to as a part of dry gas volume, and determined at standard conditions. National standards of Ukraine, technical regulations, as well as other legal and technical documents, are considered to be regulatory frameworks that ensure natural gas energy characteristics measurement. The content of National standard of Ukraine DSTU ISO 15112:2009 “Natural gas. Energy determination” is briefly analyzed in the article. Techniques for determination and calculation of energy amount, as well as the means
that allow to carry out these operations directly at the consumer’s place, are considered.
