Complaints Policy

The Editorial Board of the journal Oil and Gas Power Engineering recognises the importance of prompt and fair consideration of complaints related to the publication process. We are committed to ensuring transparency and integrity in our editorial practices; therefore, any author, reviewer, reader, or other interested party has the right to lodge a complaint.

Submitting complaints

Complaints may concern:

  • ethical issues (plagiarism, research misconduct, conflicts of interest);
  • editorial decisions (delays, rejection without proper justification, biased treatment);
  • breaches of the peer review process or non-compliance with editorial standards;
  • inaccuracies or errors in already published materials.

Procedure for handling complaints

  • Complaints should be submitted to the official e-mail address (ngejournal@nung.edu.ua) of the Editorial Office.
  • The Editor-in-Chief, or a designated member of the Editorial Board, will conduct an initial review and confirm receipt of the complaint.
  • Depending on the nature of the complaint, further investigation may be carried out, including consultation with independent experts.
  • The Editorial Office will provide an official response to the complainant within a reasonable period (normally within 30 days).

Follow-up actions

If the complaint is deemed justified, the Editorial Office undertakes to take appropriate measures, which may include issuing a correction, retraction, clarification, or updating editorial policy. In cases involving ethical violations, the Editorial Office acts in accordance with the guidelines of COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics).

Principles

The Editorial Office guarantees:

  • impartial and confidential handling of all complaints;
  • respect for all participants in the process;

proper documentation and retention of complaint outcomes for internal accountability.
