PREDICTING THE NON-STEADY PROCESSES IN GAS PIPELINE SYSTEMS UNDER THE CONDITION OF THEIR PARTIAL LOAD

The article deals with the rational control of the modes of the gas pipeline system under the conditions of its partial load, which causes frequent changes in the productivity of a wide range. If the system is partially loaded aiming at energy saving in the pipeline it is desirable to keep the highest possible pressure. In such conditions, a sudden change in gas flow rate will cause a non-steady process in which the amplitude of the pressure oscillation can exceed the permissible load of the pipes and lead to the security violation of the system operation. A mathematical model is developed and a series of calculations is conducted, which allowed to determine the characteristics of the non-steady process flow caused by a sudden change in gas flow rate, the use of which will make it possible to control the gas pipeline system in a safe range of pressure variations.
