Abstract

The issue of decision-making in the management of the drilling process is dedicated to many theoretical and practical studies and the significant amounts of experimental data have been accumulated, but at present, there are no scientifically grounded methods and algorithms for the control of the managed variables depending on specified conditions of drilling that could serve as a basis for the creation of formal models of intellectual support of decision making. An effective approach to solving this problem is the development of the supplementary intelligent modules which should organize an "operator-system" interaction. This module could help the operator in formulating questions for the system by means of case-like templates for constructing queries, which then would be transferred directly to the knowledge database, or a module would be able to perform correction of the original query by means of the set of managed variables through abstraction and further application procedure of successive refinements, forwarding a system the resulting normalized queries in relation to the overlapping systems of restrictions that would be much more informative than the original requests.
